How does the hiring process work?
We have made this process super easy, because who has time to labour on capsule hire when you are expecting a bub any day now? You can hire a baby capsule in 6 simple steps: 1. Select your hire period - 3 months or 6 months 2. Choose the date you would like us to dispatch your baby capsule to your chosen address. 3. Your order is then placed, and your baby capsule or booster seat will be shipped on the date chosen during check-out. 4. We also give you the option to own the baby capsule at the end of your hire. 5. Click on the book now and complete your checkout process 6. If you do not wish to own your baby capsule at the end of the hire, simply return your baby capsule at the end of your hire via Australia Postby accessing 'My Subscription' in your online account and click on the 'Return baby capsule' button. Drop off your baby capsule at your nearest Australia Post outlet. Can I hire more than one baby capsule? Yes, of course, you can! We know that every parent’s or guardian’s situation is unique, so we endeavour to cater for however many baby car seat capsules you need to hire in your booking. Just click on the book now button more than once or adjust the quantity at the checkout. Can I hire an additional baby capsule base? Unfortunately, you can’t hire the additional baby capsule car seat bases but you can buy them! Additional bases are available for sale on our website. You can purchase a whole range of accessories from us when you hire your baby capsule to ensure you’re fully equipped to travel with your bub. Can I purchase the baby capsule I hired? Yes, you can select to own the rental baby capsule when you are hiring for 6 months. If you decide to own the capsule after you have commenced your hire, you can log into the "My Account" section and use the purchase option. How early should I hire? It is always best to hire your baby capsule at least one month prior to your due date. This will allow you time to install your capsule and familiarise yourself with it. Of course, your baby may have other plans and arrive early, if so please call us and we will organise your capsule sooner. Please allow at least a week for delivery with the current overload that Australia Post is experiencing as our products are dispatched from Melbourne. Can I extend my hire period? Yes, you can extend your hire period on a monthly basis. Your hire period is automatically extended on a month by month basis when you do not return your hire baby capsule at the end of your lease. This allows you and us the opportunity for flexibility during the lease period. Can I hire for a shorter period than 3 months? Currently, the minimum hire period is 3 months. Can I hire a baby capsule car seat for a shorter period than 6 months but more than 3 months? Yes, you can. If you want to hire for 4 months or 5 months, then choose your hire period to be 3 months. Your hire period will automatically extend on a monthly basis when you do not return your baby capsule at the end of your hire period. This allows flexibility for you and your family’s travel plans. How are capsules cleaned between hires? The short answer here is: very thoroughly. Every returned capsule undergoes Maxi-Cosi's Refurbish certification process, which includes steam sterilization, disinfecting, and cleaning of the shell as well as the trims. All the padding and harnesses will be expertly cleaned and you’ll be able to enjoy a fresh looking and smelling rental car seat.
